I've lost my job again... yes I'm a web designer... and pretty good... someone said to me a long time ago that music and proper jobs are not going together... maybe he was right... he read a lot of music biographies and so on and decided that. In the end, I have to say, it is really true... I've always lost my past jobs... in Rome here in London... the thing is that I'm a GOOD PERSON, I'm not doing shit to the others, I'm looking for a sort of complicity with my workmates while they are looking for a way to survive in the shit that others make... it's sad soo sad and the worst thing is that now I'm looking for another way to pay the rent... fortunately we've got a gig this FRIDAY and everything will be forgotten... for a while...
Forget the king,
forget all the kings,
they betrayed you,
they screwed you,
messing around
with your mind
and your body....
You're not the queen,
you'll never be.
He knows how
to give you advice.
His guitar is
the mask he wears
to tell you lies...
But you can rise,
you can shine,
no more masterminds,
no more kings and queens.
You can find your way
to be yourself
and free to be yourself...
Forget the king,
forget all the kings,
we're betraying you,
we're screwing you,
messing around
like worms in your body [with your body]...
But you can rise,
you can shine,
no more masterminds,
no more kings and queens.
You can find your way
to be yourself
and free to be yourself...
free to be yourself...
free to be yourself...
Alright... your first post... let's say something...
As always I'm mixing some songs... actually it's my addiction...
I started long time ago just to have two or three demo/songs to put on my myspace profile and so on... (I said to myself: why spend money in a studio when you can do it all by yourself?) now I have something like 20 projects, 20 tracks each and a lot of time and plugins... a nightmare...
Focus. That's the main word. 4/5 songs could be enough for a good old fashion EP.
The problem to be alone and doing all by yourself is that you don't know what's going on.
Yes you are proud of yourself, you're free to do and try whatever you want, but if you are like me you could end doing too much and don't know if it's really worthing in the end. There's no one saying no this is shit nor this is cool.
Maybe you've just take off the best bass track you ad in that song... or maybe that song is not the right one... but now I did all the editing and the compiling... what can I do with that... and... come on it misses power... but you know how can you achieve power if you played everything? one track at time... and what about the drum? the drum is not a real drum... anyway you cannot play the drum... and the mixing? is it right in the stereo image? is it loud enough? and the mastering... this song is perfect BUT is so different from this other one, but the other one is perfect as well... so what's the right form of perfection?
I always end reading Sound On Sound...
